This time last year, I was tired, hauling around baby weight on my body and feeding a baby every hour (on the hour), which made for a lot of messy diapers and blistered nipples.
Everyday while my body healed, the baby mostly slept and Danny left the house for work.
My best friend came up to Missouri to visit the baby and give him a massive bag of gifts, handmade and purchased. She was completing her PhD from Oklahoma State University and looking for a job, but she made time to knit baby all sorts of beautiful things.
I’m glad she made the trip to see us – I needed the friend time (probably more than she did).
As of today, I am the experienced- pain free – breast feeding mother of one child over one (barely), I’m back in shape and my friend Rachel is the Athletic Training program director at Southern Nazarene University and a PhD graduate from Oklahoma State University.
We are both experts now – you can trust us.
I drove down to Oklahoma for some post graduation celebration with Rachel and her family this last weekend.
Her family is like my family, we see a lot of them and they always take good care of the baby….
The baby..
In one year, he has gotten so big and so smart.
Before I know it, he will be driving…
Before I know it, he’ll be telling me he’s an expert.
Yeah, someday it will be his turn.
🙂
So glad the sun is shinning today.
He is so cute and is getting so big : )
